Noise at Work Derbyshire

Noise at Work Assessment | Derbyshire

Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 | Noise Survey | Noise Impact Assessment

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations (CoNAWR) have been developed in order to comply with the European Union Physical Agents (Noise) Directive (2003/10/EC) which aims to protect workers from risks to their health arising from exposure to noise in the workplace.

An employer is required by law (Noise at work Regulations 2005) to identify the exposure of excessive noise to their employees.

The legislation came into force on 6th April 2006. Impact Acoustics carry out noise at work assessments throughout Derbyshire to indemnity work noise risk assessments and the exposure to noise for employees in Derbyshire.

Changes to the regulations (compared to the previous 1989 Noise at Work Regulations) include the following:

New lower and upper exposure action values.

A need to undertake audiometric monitoring and health surveillance of individuals with noise exposure levels above the upper exposure action value.

Impact Acoustics can undertake:
